COP25 side event: ACP-EU Ministerial Working Lunch

“ACP-EU Ministerial Working Lunch”.

ACP and EU Ministers met over lunch on Friday 13 December 2019 from 12:30 to 14:30, at the EU Pavilion, in Madrid, Spain.

Building on their long-standing cooperation for sustainable development, their coordinated approach that helped deliver the Paris Agreement in 2015 and their Joint ACP-EU Declaration on Climate Change of 2018, ACP and EU Governments explored further collaboration on how to fulfill shared climate goals.

OBJECTIVES

The main objectives of this side-event were:

• To identify shared priorities in addressing climate change.
• To better understand and support each other as we are entering into “the year of climate ambition” from COP25 to COP26.
