This latest issue of our newsletter is a special edition dedicated to some of the success stories of the programme. Whilst the Technical Assistance component of the Programme came to an end on 25 July 2022, the regional components are still ongoing. The stories compiled here form the basis for many more achievements in the ongoing efforts to address climate change.

This final publication describes all the activities carried out by the Technical Assistance Team which supported the implementation of the Intra- ACP GCCA+ Programme from October 2017 to July 2022. The publication provides an analysis of the outputs delivered and the challenges faced.

The Programme’s objective is to strengthen the ACP countries’ capacity to build resilience to climate change, mitigate its effects, and adapt at the national and regional levels. It also supports the ACP region and countries to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the context of a changing climate. The programme is a €70 million initiative of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States. It is funded by the 11th European Development Fund (EDF). Of this amount, €65 million has been allocated to the regions. Another €4.5 million has been allocated for institutional support, including the ACP Secretariat and the Intra-ACP GCCA+ Climate Support Facility.
Our team manages the Climate Support Facility and supports the ACP Secretariat with coordination, implementation, monitoring, knowledge management, communication and strategic dialogue.
Climate change does not recognize international boundaries. The Intra-ACP GCCA+ runs regional projects and programmes to address issues relating to climate change.
Facility (CSF)
The Climate Support Facility provides short term experts and makes funding available for technical support and regional work.
